Our storyVisit us

A hill-country school with a century of purpose.

Since its humble beginnings in 1917, Gamini Dissanayake National School (formerly Kothmale Maha Vidyalaya) has been committed to shaping leaders who drive positive change. In 1999 it became a National School, and it was the first in Nuwara Eliya district to teach in English medium from Grades 6 to 13.

Across Arts, Commerce, Science, Languages and Technology, academic progress, technology and character grow together.
